I was invited by the University of Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka to give a webinar on Introduction to Gravitational Wave Astronomy. It was a wonderful experience to give a talk before a curious audience of >90 attendees from all over the world.

My parents have been active members of an NGO, Udayan Care that supports girls coming from financially unprivileged backgrounds for higher education and job applications. One morning, as we were having a conversation on how a group of girls would be ready to go on for higher education soon, I was pointed out that there was something that was killing the girls' confidence. It was their poor English speaking skills. So, I planned to take this initiative and made a compact course of teaching grammar and communication skills to help them out.

This was shot at the time when I was inclined towards pursuing my graduate school in Canada/USA. In due course of which, I joined Jamboree to get myself coached for GRE which is an entrance exam that has to be cleared in order to apply to grad schools in the desired countries. I opted in for an online course since I was simultaneously undergoing a medical treatment. Here I am, briefly living my journey.

All the hopeful, passionate eyes on you, waiting for you to tell them your story and guide them on how to leave the university with not only a degree but an experience. Here is my journey from being a backbencher to a researcher.
